Clothianidin, a neonicotinoid insecticide, was identified by the former Agro Division of Takeda Chemical Industries, Ltd. (now Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd.) and co-developed with Bayer CropScience. Clothianidin provides excellent control efficacy in low application amounts against a wide range of insect pests, including Hemiptera, Thysanoptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, and Diptera, offering long-lasting performance with strong systemic action and compatibility with various application methods.
